Opera is an excellent browser. It was premium browser but now I guess, they have chosen to release it for free, since browser softwares can no longer afford to be charged.
Regarding the features in Opera, no doubt, it is excellent. But if you still want a taint of IE flavor in it, there is a IE Wrapper called MyIE2.
It does come with a lot of addins and helper applications that natively support, including support for JavaScript Script Inspector, to play around with scripting.
